There’s no time like the present to finally own a full matching, quality set of makeup brushes. But we realize, price dilemma. We’ve all been there, pinning and cyber shopping brush options only to chicken out right before we hit the purchase button. One brush for $16 or so we can justify. Maybe even that amazing foundation brush that’s a little more than double that, but a whole set of brushes that will put us back a pair of shoes, a weeks worth of Starbucks and maybe having to skip paying the light bill for a month? Um no, and our TV financial evangelist, Suze Orman, would not approve of such financial foolishness. Balling on a budget is always a good idea until one can afford a splurge which is why you’ll be happy to know that this Premium Synthetic Kabuki Makeup Brush Set–the entire set, the whole kit and kaboodle–costs only…drum roll please. 12 whopping dollars. But wait, there is more!
Who does not have random makeup brushes hanging around their bathroom? Of course you do, which is why this set poses a good solution to your problem. First off you get ten pretty brushes (they also come in silver; and yes we photographed nine because someone was busy beating their face with the flat top kabuki brush ) that’ll look great sitting in a glass jar on your counter; a tactic if there ever was one that helps you really get (back) into doing your makeup since they look too fun not to use. Second, they are soft. Super soft and rival high end Bobbi Brown brushes in softness. Yes, we just said that. Third, even though they are synthetic, the bristles are dense and don’t feel loose and cheap like some cheaper brush sets feel and because they are so smooth, are also a great option for those with sensitive skin.
The handles are made of wood and they feel full and solid in your hands. The bristles on each brush are packed well and mimic the density of more expensive name brand brushes (we wouldn’t be surprised if the same factories that made department store brand brushes made these. Just saying). You get five eye brushes for shadows and five face brushes which can be used to apply liquid (light and full coverage) or powder and mineral foundation. Word on the street is they are exact Sigma brush dupes. Either way, this Premium Synthetic Kabuki Makeup Brush Set is a quality, affordable makeup brush set and is a freaking steal for the price. When Lindsey first told us about them, we immediately gathered around her in a circle examining the handles, rubbing the bristles and almost in unison proclaimed these as our next beauty purchase. Trust us when we say that everyone in our office will more than likely own a set of these brushes. Now it’s your turn. Shop smart, sisters!
