Yes, Valentine’s Day has come and gone but love is still in the air. I have to admit that Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite times of the year. Love is such a power thing when expressed in the right way. Love can be shown and exemplified in such creative ways and that’s what makes it so amazing. When you love what you do, or you love everything about life it will show in more ways the one.
Being different and stepping out of the norm can a bit challenging at times but having love will help overcome those feelings. How intimate is it to express love with a longing hug or a beautiful smile. Without a stitch of makeup and your brightest smile, you are amazingly beautiful expressing love in your language. With a few brush strokes of bright and vibrant colors that play on the impending arrival of spring, you are still your beautiful self, your makeup is just adding an additional layer of sexy, demur or playfulness to the story. Pink eyeshadow in the right pigment and tone can really pop brown and hazel eyes. And just look at that gorgeous pink lipstick. Doesn’t it just make you feel something special? Isn’t she just lovely?
Creating this look on Joy and having a love for this 24 hour holiday allowed me to step out the norm and step away from the safety of nudes, smokey eyes and a well-loved red lip. Sometimes we have to take a risk and challenge ourselves to be creative and play with colors that we would naturally shy away from. Open up that part of you that loves to be different and dare to be you.
