Let’s us go ahead and get something out of the way right now. Orange eyeliner is everything. Everything you never thought it could be. It’s drastic and stark and bright and finishes with a mean tinge of eclectic mixed with fun, biker girl. It brings together all the things you are afraid of in makeup-the “wrong” color multiplied by brightness. But when done just right, it can be absolutely beautiful.
Now, you may be thinking, “But Nikia is a model! Homegirl could wear an orange grocery bag and make it look good.” And you’re right about the bag, but you can pull of orange eyeliner too if you’re brave enough. In the spirit of year round Halloween nostalgia (any excuse to wear orange, no?) you can make this look work for you best during the holidays and the summer when anything goes and orange eyeliner won’t raise too many eyebrows. Like, say, when you’re wearing it while eating your secondish slice of pumpkin pie or doing da butt at the family reunion next summer.
We admit that this look takes some bravery, but trust us, just a half swipe of orange eyeliner on your lower lids and some natural gloss on your lips and you’ll even surprise yourself. Don’t be surprised if you walk out of the house with this liner and your own grocery bag.
