We’ve ingested activated charcoal in the past to get things going and keep things from coming out. We’ve also used it to wash our faces in both liquid form as a Charcoal Purifying Facial Cleanser and as a Bamboo Charcoal Konjac Cleansing Sponge. We just haven’t gotten around to using and testing it as a tooth whitener quite yet. Our new weekend goal in addition to stalking Pinterest for Thanksgiving recipes will be to whiten our teeth. After running across Helena Vee’s results while perusing Instagram, we’re excited to go all mud mouth. All you need are activated charcoal caps, a tooth brush and five minutes to get your teeth three to five shades lighter.
HOW TO WHITEN YOUR TEETH WITH ACTIVATED CHARCOAL
“Go to CVS or Walgreens, look in the laxative section [and] find Charco Caps. (I got mine at CVS for 7$) Pop open the tablet, pour the powder on a paper towel, wet [your] toothbrush then dip onto the charcoal. Brush for 5 minutes and rinse. Then use regular toothpaste and brush afterwards to remove excess. Yippyyy White teeth!” – Helena
If Helena’s results are proof, then we all need to get on this stat. This is much faster and cheaper than Zoom Whitening. We’re just saying.
