We’ve done our share of fasts for a day, but it’s time to go back to where we once started and up our health and beauty game. It’s time for a daily dose of goodness each and every morning. Right about now, frozen kale, frozen banana, almond mylk, flax oil and chlorophyll never looked so good.

While perusing the world through the lens of Instagram, we came across Hannah Bronfman‘s latest smoothie flick and it got our wheels churning. We’re big fans of drinking healthy drinks just as much as we love a glass of wine or two every now and again. For the most part however, what we drink is healthy (lots and lots of water with lemon) but we can do better. Green smoothies for hair and skin are a good idea but overall they are great for your health. Duh.

Hanna (one of our current girl crushes) is the queen of healthy eating and living and going through her snaps will make you want to drop and give yourself 20. The biggest theme in this entrepreneur’s (and DJ, Beautified app creator and daughter of 70s “Shaft” cult actress Sherry Brewer) healthy eating arsenal is starting the day off right with a healthy morning meal which is often a smoothie. Some of her recipes that stand out the most and sound so delish are her frozen kale, frozen banana, almond mylk, flax oil, chlorophyll smoothie (photo 1), strawberry, banana, almond mylk topped with bee pollen and chia (photo 2) and spinach, almond mylk, a few almonds and a date (photo 4). We’re thirsty just thinking about these which we will be trying all of this weekend (we’ve also deducted that ‘mylk’ is probably fresh, homemade almond milk which can be duplicated by YouTubing a recipe).

Looking at these photos has gotten us inspired again to start the day or end the day with a healthy green smoothie. It’s always difficult to get enough greens and fruits during the week but by making it basic and taste good we think it’s time to start this habit back up for the better. Be sure to follow Hannah on Instagram. Are you a smoothie loving girl? How do you fit them into your day? What are you some of your favorite recipes?
