Enjolie came in to the hair studio with hopes of sunset inspired magentas and purples but left with a vibrant copper coral color melt that she loved just the same. This color works so well on her because it highlights her skin tone and in some ways, even makes her beautiful eyes even more noticeable. Her coral tips are so delicately subtle that until her hair is in a high pony or she throws her curls over her shoulders, you almost miss that they are there.

Amena melted these two complimentary colors together which created a very eye catching effect. It’s a very bright copper but not so electric that it’s over done and the coral is a medium, rich coral. “I’d say her look was inspired by my desire to fuse two of the most beautiful shades rarely done together,” says Amena. “I love reds of all tones but copper reds I have a special affinity for so it was great to be able to put it on a head of hair whose natural Botticelli curls could amp up its depth and vibrancy just being themselves. And coral well how often do we get to see that color on curls? The coral was bumped with a pinch of red for staying power and placed in such a way that it would blend seamlessly but could be hidden for more conservative occasions yet it is most definitely there upon first glance.

When were were shooting Enjolie, we’d hoped for sunny day but instead, it was overcast and the air was wet and cool. Her curls started to frizz and shrink but her color is so distractingly good, it makes our challenging hair day barely noticeable. Her hair still looks perfect.
