A few weeks ago we spotted Aïda at a Make Up For Ever event. She walked through the door and we couldn’t help but to double take. She was tall and beautiful and her dark black skin was so lustrous. That’s the best way to describe it. It was late at night and she was shining like a diamond. We knew we had to meet this beautiful woman and beg her ask her if she’d like to shoot with us.
After introducing ourselves we quickly realized that we had more in common than we could have imagined. Not only was Aïda a fan of our website and had been for a while (“I’m always on there looking for tips for taking care of my natural hair,” she told us) she was also a big fan of Nikia’s work. And the moment we laid eyes on her we were fan girling at first sight. #itwasmeanttobe
We thought she could possibly be a local LA model, but Aïda works in PR for Make Up For Ever in Canada so of course when she showed up to shoot with us she was packing a crazy Makeup Forever stash. These photos of her are beautiful but Aïda, is even more beautiful in person. Her skin and personality just glow. Though she told us that she was not a professional model and had never done a photo shoot like this one before, it was hard to tell because she was a stunner in front of the camera and needed little direction before she found her stride.
